I think Earth Hour is an event that asks household and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate changes. It was first held in Sydney , Australia at 7.30 p.m. , local time. Earth Hour will next take place on Saturday , March 28, 2009 at 8.30 p.m. , local time. I guess i will be joining in this worldwide phenomenon event as Earth is ours and we have to protect it for our future generations. I think we can play pianos and guitars during the one hour event to kill time and not be tempted to watch TV. I think the Earth is facing a major climate change. Global Warming is one of them. People are burning unnecessary plastic as it cannot decompose or be destroyed. And with plastic being burned, gases are produced which are harmful towards Earth. It creates something like the green-house effect which traps the hot gas produced. Hence, Earth is heated and Global Warming is created. I think people should use less plastic as they are not easily destroyed which is one of the major 'culprit' to Global Warming.
